Framing Calc Roof Edition is now available here at our software store. It has excellent 3-D Graphics, and a library of structure shapes to choose from. Just select a structure close to what you are building, and then enter the appropriate dimensions and wall/beam elevations. It will produce a scale rendering of your roof in 3-D or various shots in 2-D. The image will show all your rafters, facia, valley and hip beams, valley and hip jacks, ridge beams, collar ties, roof sheathing, and more.

The 3-D imaging is great, but the reports it produces are greater. It calculates and produces a full and customizable material list which is good enough to print and fax to your suppliers, and it also prints out a detailed cut list for all your rafters, hips, valleys, jack rafters, blocking, and bearing wall stud lengths. But thats not all as far as the reports go! It also calculates the costs for your roof, and prints out an itemized report of all the various materials including Rafters, hips, valleys, jacks, fascia, ridge beams, blocking, sheathing, and more. It gives you the total lineal footage or the total sheets, etc. Then it gives you each ones total price, and then adds your sales tax, contractors profit and overhead, and produces a grand total of your roofs costs.
