Cabinet Cut List Maker 3.5
An inexpensive cabinet cut list calculator, designed for the small to medium sized custom cabinet shop, home improvement contractor, remodeling contractor, home owner, or hobbyist which calculates every conceivable wooden part that goes into constructing a cabinet. It contains three dimensional, perspective drawings, describing every part of the cabinet, how it is assembled, and shows the calculated dimension beside each part of the drawing.
Cabinet Cut List Maker uses a "Wizard" style format to guide you through each particular section. This "Wizard" format makes calculating your cabinet parts much easier than other cut list programs, and much safer in as it's virtually impossible to make an error. With a Wizard style approach, the program user is guided from screen to screen, and at each screen, certain tasks are performed, or dimensions pertaining to the cabinet to be calculated, are entered. At the end of the sequence of wizard screens, the user ends up back at the main menu, where he may view and or print the final cut list.
The program is divided into four primary sections.
At the main menu, item #1 the cabinet maker chooses between an upper or base type cabinet.
Next is the basic cabinet dimensions etc. window, where the user enters specific data regarding the cabinet including the dimensions, toe kick height and depth, face frame width and thickness, door or drawer overlay, etc, and whether or not the end panels of the cabinet will be exposed.
The third window is the material sizes window, where the user enters data about the cabinet pertaining to the size and thickness of the materials he is about to use. The fourth is the drawer wizard where the user, with the help of the drawer bank calculator, chooses how many and what size drawers he will have.
The fifth is the door wizard which is similar to the drawer, but slightly longer. Here the cabinet maker is given the choice of mitered door frames surrounding a panel, or cop'nstick, or just flat style doors.
The fifth and last window is the cut list, where every part is displayed, and may be printed by clicking on the print icon. The drawer section, produces dimensions for the drawer box's sides, ends, base, and drawer front, for drawer banks from one drawers per bank, to four drawers per bank. You enter in the preferred height of each drawer in the bank, and it calculates the actual as close to your dimensions as possible. The door section has a similar space calculator, but calculates up to seven openings horizontally, producing a cut list including: stile lengths, rail lengths, panel dimensions, and for flat doors, the horizontal and vertical dimension. Once your cabinet is calculated, print it out, and off to the shop you go. To increase speed of use, the program can save up to four default cabinet settings, including the cabinet face frame material sizes, as well as the box, drawers and doors, typical sizes, thus saving the cabinet maker from data entry in most of steps one through three. 1) Can be set to calculate for one exposed end panel, no end panels exposed, or both exposed.
2) Can be set to calculate for rabbet drawer box corners, or Dove Tail.
3) Can be set to calculate for either raised panel doors (with Cop-N-Stick or Mitered stiles and rails), or Flat (Melamine, Plywood, Etc.) style doors.
4) Allows override ability between calculations regarding the top drawer and door below it. This allows the user the option of making all or some of his door heights adjust to the existance of a specific sized drawer above. Or, he may override this feature, and name his own door height.
5) This program calculates every single wood part that goes into building a typical cabinet, except for shelves. Most cut list programs on the market today, only calculate the main box, and maybe the face frame. I haven't found one yet that calculates as many parts at once, and in one program, than Cabinet Cutlist Maker. It even calculates the length of your counter top and back mounting strips.

2) The technical programming has been up graded as well. Both the cabinet opening calculator and the drawer bank calculator start up with all openings equal, then the user may change opening sizes to suit. For your convenience, you may now select either standard drawer bank configuration or equal. Or enter what ever dimensions you prefer.

9) Face Frame to End Panel Overhang You may quickly configure your cabinet for any amount of face frame overhang reveal you want, or move the end panels inward on the face frame, to flush up with the inside. Great for drawer bank hardware. This version has a calculator that helps determine the proper face frame overhang.
10) Top Drawer & Doors Compatibility Features This version lets you know at all times whether the top drawer vs Doors, are compatible. Most Kitchen cabinets have a drawer at the top of the module, with door or doors below. Now you can calculate for whether or not the drawer exists, and helpful notes keep you informed of the condition.
